Corrections and Retractions

Found something we should correct? Send the story URL and the specific passage, quote, or image to retractions@infolitico.com. If you have an original source that clarifies the issue, include its link so the report can be checked.

Corrections and removals are different: a correction addresses an error in a story that remains published; a retraction withdraws the story. Where a public editorial notice is available, it appears on the affected story page. See our editorial standards for the sourcing and Scripture rules behind the publication.

Requesting removal

Email retraction requests to retractions@infolitico.com. We respond within 24 hours and unpublish on request. A short email is enough; no formal process is required.

What to include

• Your name (or the public figure's name if you are reporting on their behalf).
• The story URL.
• A short reason for the request — for example: factual error, misattributed quote, misrepresentation, or privacy concern.

What we will do

• Acknowledge your email within 24 hours.
• Unpublish the story on request — no debate, no judgment call, no negotiation.
• If the request involves a person we should never write about again, add them to our subject block list.
• Where applicable, update our editorial guardrails so similar issues do not recur.
